I have known about World Concern for a couple of years now and became interested in microlending. Currently, I have some free time and just wanted to help out in any way possible.

Volunteering is a great selfless act. I feel if one can manage to set some time aside to volunteer that the world be a better place. By volunteering, one is able to touch so many lives, without even knowing it, more people are being affected and organizations are able to grow. I like knowing that I am able to serve God and volunteer for a great purpose. I hope that helping a little will make a positive impact on someone in the world.

Over the years I have found myself wanting to help women. When I learned about World Concern’s Women of Purpose program and the microlending programs, I thought that would be a great opportunity. I could help women by using my accounting and business knowledge. Being able to supply the funds and tools for an impoverished woman to become an entrepreneur so she could support herself, her family, and have a successful life, would be such a rewarding experience.

God has a great plan for my life and I hope that I am able to make a positive influence in someone’s life with His help.
