MARKETING & PROMOTION
Create online presence through event registration on various sports sites and local venue sites (running sites, newspaper or local event sites). Work with Donor Relations Rep to coordinate and plan the best targets – businesses, churches, schools. Be a presence at events (concerts, conferences, etc) to promote the 5K. Distribute flyers and posters around the community. Work with CRISTA Marketing for CRISTA-wide promotion.
SPONSORSHIP
Recruit sponsors for the event - includes identifying possible sponsors and thanking sponsors after the event. Work with Marketing/Promotion to develop the materials for potential sponsors. Work with Donor Relations Rep to confirm and follow through with potential sponsors.
Possible areas of sponsorship: General sponsorship, Specific items (bags, t-shirts, etc.)
EVENT VENDORS
Recruit vendors for the event including retail, food, beverage, entertainment, and any other vendor who might a presence to market their business. Work with Sponsorship to see if any sponsors want a booth. Work with Operations for the physical requirements needed – booth, tables/chairs, electrical power, etc.
VOLUNTEERS
Work with Volunteer Coordinator to recruit and organize volunteers. Assist and oversee volunteers working on special projects, helping with special events, and at the 5K. Work with Marketing & Promotion to coordinate where to promote volunteering - churches, schools, or businesses.
OPERATIONS (on-site logistics)
Work with equipment vendors for 5K requirements, set-up, and staffing (booths, tables, chairs, Honey Buckets, etc). Coordinate parking and transportation. Work with Project Coordinator for City of Shoreline permit, police requirements, processing agreements and financial obligations. Coordinate contacting other CRISTA Ministries regarding impact on them or their involvement – Security, Facilities, Senior Community. Work with Sponsorship and Event Vendor committees to track for any special on-site needs.
