Lietnhom is now home to the only vocational training center in Warrap State, which has a population of about a million people. World Concern opened the center in 2010 – the first step in transforming this troubled village.

Equipping families with the tools to improve their lives is the mission of the One Village campaign. You’ll partner with village members as a transformation takes place. It won’t happen overnight – lasting change take time – but you’ll contribute to a healthier, more productive, abundant way of life in Lietnhom.

Together, we’ll make sure children are in school, where they belong. We’ll teach farmers to grow sustainable, drought-resistant crops to feed their families. With job skills, families’ incomes will increase. They’ll learn the value of saving through village banks, and be able to pay for school fees and grow their businesses.

In all of this, the community takes ownership of the changes – ensuring they last into the next generation.
