Between 70,000 and 85,000 people have been displaced in the last three months since the military began striking against a rebel group called the Tamil Tigers.
The Sri Lankan goverment estimates there are appoximately 160,000 people that have been displaced in the northern region of the country since 2006.

World Concern fieldworkers in Haiti are distributing food and emergency supplies after a series of storms killed more than 100 people and caused severe flooding.
The storms damaged World Concern projects, including an irrigation system on the southern coast. Evacuees took shelter in World Concern offices during the storm.
