World Concern regretfully reports the first confirmed fatality of a field worker and today is mourning the loss of Angela Thermidor.
Angela was the Prevention Training Director for World Concern's HIV programs; two major grant projects. She exemplified leadership in her ability to effectively prepare a multitude of staff to deliver messages on HIV prevention to youth. Angela also helped to develop curricula for both the Prevention program and our Palliative Care program in Haiti. She was an intelligent, creative, and invaluable member of the World Concern family.
Angela was taking some end-of-term exams when her school building collapsed. She died along with numerous other students. Her body has been recovered and buried by her family.
