World Concern’s Haiti Director Christon Domond says nearly all emergency relief supplies in the warehouse have run out. The need is too great. They have distributed all medical supplies and water, and will continue delivering clothing. Until more relief supplies are shipped or flown in, World Concern will be purchasing what goods are available within Haiti for the emergency effort. Positive news is that the US military is beginning to arrive with emergency supplies. Christon traveled through hard-hit neighborhoods in Port Au Prince near the World Concern office, assessing how to best help those in most critical need. With this assessment, World Concern will quickly develop proposals to source supplies from the US, UN and other agencies. No centralized communication center has yet formed. It is up to World Concern and other agencies on the ground to purchase and source supplies to reach those who are most vulnerable.
