Get to know the real-life Tracy

Tracy Stover Livelihoods CoordinatorTracy started working with World Concern back in 2003 and spent the first 7 ½  years in Africa serving first as District Coordinator for Maasai communities in Narok, Kenya, and eventually serving as Country Director in Kenya.

She also served as Country Director in Chad where World Concern provides opportunities for much needed agriculture and meaningful work in the community of Goz Beida. About 80,000 refugees and displaced people live there. The ongoing crisis in the Darfur region of Sudan continues to force families to flee, many ending up in Goz Beida.

Her current – and  most challenging – role in Africa has just begun. Tracy is serving as our Emergency Coordinator in the drought stricken region of Northeastern Kenya and Southern Somalia. The area is experiencing the worst drought in 60 years, and famine has been declared in parts of Somalia. Tracy is leading the team in logistics as they distribute emergency water, food and supplies to thousands of families affected by what is being called the worst humanitarian crisis facing the world today.

Tracy graduated from the University of Washington in Seattle and then went on to Oxford for graduate school where she earned an M.A. in Theology and Development at the Oxford Centre for Mission Studies. She is a great asset to the work of World Concern.
