Help us as we address the long term needs of the people.

The worst drought in 60 years, combined with insecurity and skyrocketing food prices, have led to a massive humanitarian crisis in the Horn of Africa. Famine has been declared in parts of Somalia. More than 13 million people are affected.
World Concern is reaching thousands of families with life-saving food, water, medical attention and more. But the crisis is far from over. We need to do more. Sadly, 30,000 children have already died in this famine, and 450,000 more are severely malnourished.
The enduring effects of this famine are just beginning to emerge.
Please help us save lives immediately, then stand with us to provide long-term assistance to help families and communities survive and thrive beyond this disaster. We envision a future without famine for the Horn of Africa.
We’re working with communities along the Kenya-Somalia border that are hosting refugees, as well as suffering the effects of drought, food insecurity and extreme poverty themselves. By involving the community in their own recovery, we’ve established relationships with them, enabling us to make progress quickly.
You’ll help us expand our reach and bring this kind of lasting change to more people. Our goal is to reach 80,000 people or more in the Horn of Africa, including Northern Somalia (Somaliland) and Northeastern Kenya.
