financial accountability

Independently rated as one of the best

We faithfully put your donation to good work

Helping change lives When you give to World Concern, more than 90% of every dollar—cash plus gifts-in-kind—goes directly to programs that serve the poor. Wise stewardship is important to us, and we work hard to keep administrative costs down.

To maintain the highest level of transparency, we are accountable to the National Charities Information Bureau and the Evangelical Council for Financial Accountability (ECFA).

Charity Navigator rates our parent organization, CRISTA Ministries, as a Four Star Charity—the highest rating possible. World Concern's financial responsibility plays a key role in the high marks.

We maintain open financial records, so you can request a financial summary or an audited financial statement any time. Please email info@worldconcern.org. World Concern is audited annually; feel free to read our latest Audited Financial Statement and Form 990

We keep your personal and financial information strictly confidential. All online giving pages are securely encrypted for the protection of your data. Whether you’re giving or signing up to receive our newsletter, your privacy is our top priority.

World Concern does not respond directly to disasters in the United States. Any funds designated for domestic relief efforts may be utilized by our U.S.-based non-profit partners.

Gift-in-Kind Valuation Changes

World Concern and CRISTA Ministries has reduced its per-pill valuation for deworming medication. In doing so, we join other similar organizations in the humanitarian community by adopting this new valuation methodology. Our goal in making this change is to use a valuation methodology that can be consistently applied, and to also continue to stay in line with industry and accounting standards. Three Savvy Questions

World Concern's president outlines why he gives

Dave Eller World Concern PresidentAt World Concern, we’re called to equip people to lift themselves out of poverty. Our work is multifaceted, involving practical, immediate solutions and long-term development of self-sustaining communities. It ranges from eradicating parasites to providing loans and training for starting small businesses.

Like you, I give to programs for the poor. As a fundraiser, I’ve learned to ask three savvy questions about organizations I support:

  • What do they do, how do they do it and what results do they achieve?
  • Are the people Christ-focused and skilled at making a lasting impact?
  • Who else supports the organization? What are their criteria for evaluating it and how do they decide it is the best option?

We want you to know us, our people, those we serve and others who give!

I invite you to become even more engaged in reaching hurting people: give more, tell others about the mission we share, join us in prayer, dialog about our work and the role of American Christians.

Call others to love God by serving people.

With faith and gratitude,

Dave Eller
President, World Concern
