Caring for AIDS orphans. Rebuilding homes after disasters. Fighting child trafficking. Providing business loans to poor women. Teaching men sustainable agriculture. Preventing HIV/AIDS. Planting trees. Digging water wells.
At World Concern, these are the things we do for people in need all over the world. But it’s not all.
Our goal is to relieve human suffering and to bring hope and reconciliation to the people we serve. Our inspiration and motivation comes from Jesus, who taught us to care for the poor, the forgotten, the despised and the marginalized.
We provide opportunities to the poor, focusing on basic needs, sustainable livelihoods and family stability. We serve through a worldwide staff of professionals who are committed to forging partnerships with the people and communities we serve.
We also receive support from governments, foundations, other humanitarian organizations, churches, businesses and individual donors.
Our leadership team and board have led World Concern through a period of significant growth. Now World Concern stands as a leader in sending
knowledgeable
people into remote places, all to provide for those who may have otherwise been forgotten.
World Concern's leaders have collectively spent decades overseas, implementing life-saving projects. Many of our board members have had great success leading large companies and organizations, while still remembering their duty for service.
